Yep....spring break is almost over and I will have to be back at work tomorrow morning. I have enjoyed my time off. I did not enjoy all the papers I graded yesterday with the horrible test scores. I am not sure what I am going to do because most of the kids in my classes will fail if I don't let them correct their tests.
Today was a good Easter...I got DH chocolate and he forgot to get me anything. This kinda hurt my feelings but we did go buy new furniture this week. I still need to go to HL so I can get some 14 count fabric for a prize I need to send off this week. Brigen is doing much better. His ear isn't as red but it is still kinda yucky!!
I worked on my model all weekend so I can't show this off...but I can show off Cherokee Child. I am about 1/2 way finished with the third page.

Poor Brigen
My poor little baby boy has a very bad ear infection. He kept shaking his head on Wed. Night and when I finally checked his ear was red and very inflammed so off to the vet we went. He was so funny, when the vet would hold the earscope, Brigen would hide behind me...when she put it down...he ran to her....we played this game for about 3 tries when finally she moved closer to me and grabbed onto his collar. She took one look and said poor thing. She didn't even try to look deep into it.
When the little tech girl came in with his medicine I had to ask her show me how do it because I have never done this before. She told me it was just like if you have kids and I still looked blank. Told her this was my first ear infection with my kids since the dogs are my children. She just laughed. Brigen was a real trooper. Mark can't stand this infection because it smells. We never realized how bad they smell but it is awful!!
On the stitching note...I have updated the picture of Tiger on the right. I have finished 58% of tiger. I have stitched over the 1/2 way mark!!! Yes!! That is exciting.

finally home
I am so excited to be home!! I have spent the last few days with my uncle who has been very ill. It was a very tiring time. I had to monitor his medicine and make sure he took all the correct meds. He was a little out of his head because the dr's. didn't realize what meds they had him on and they were making him very loopy. He had such terrible headaches that he is scared he is going to get ill again so he takes the good stuff before he tires the OTC items. I finally was able to come home today.
While at his house I was able to stitch alot I finished 9 sections of Inspirations. I only have 15 sections to go! LOL!!! I was also able to finish 1/2 a page of tiger..will update the picture later. My goal is to finish Tiger by the end of summer because he is going to be my fair entry. I have a title to defend.

4 finishes in a weekend!
That is a record for me. I stitched 4 disney ornaments this weekend. I stitched Timon, Jasmine, snow white and tinkerbell. The turned out pretty cool.
It seems like I haven't posted in forever. Mark bought me the coolest birthday present. He bought me the Art of Disney Kit "Happiest Celebration On Earth" I loved it. I dyed some navy fabric and it is looking good if I do say so myself.
Stella came back. The lady who took her brought her over on the pretense of a playdate and she just left her. I am trying to find her a home but no luck it has been a week.
Not much more...I am off to bed.

out of my stitching funk!
Finally, I can honestly say I am out of my stitching funk. With DH's job situtation and thinking we were moving or not moving ....to stay or not stay...if just made me want to play video games online and not stitch. Which is bad since I am working on a model.
DH and I made the decision that if the formal offer was a good one then we would definetly move. WEll...the offer came in and it wasn't that great...we would actually be starting over with lower salaries and a higher cost of living...so he is going to make a counter offer but as of right now we are not mvoing! Which makes me very excited. I was all for moving but I really didn't want to give up my job or leave my friends and family.
So...while I were we in NC last weekend...I worked on 4 calling birds for a RR....up top is what I was able to finish in the airports. Will be working on it more today.

Tiring Weekend
I thought this weekend I would spend the whole time stitching and watching TV. Sounds boring to some people but I was looking forward to it. I got a call early Friday morning from my dad telling me my uncle (who is like a dad to me) was in ICU. He had had a reaction to the medicine he was taking and wasn't doing well. So Saturday, I went down and spent the night in the hospital room. So I didn't get much stitching accomplished. He is doing much better today.
Once I got home on Sunday I was able to stitch and finish the 2nd page of Cherokee Child. Which is posted on the right. I thought about going to my LNS for the superbowl sale...but I was tired I sat down and just fell asleep in my chair.
The pictures above are from my snow day the other day....It is all gone now which is so sad. I loved watching it snow...today it was in the 50's....and one day this week it will be in the 70's.

SNOW DAY!
That is right! We actually had a snow day today and will have one tomorrow. I spent the day watching the snow fall and cross stitching. I have to say it was a good day! I worked on my Cherokee child. I would like to reach my goal of having 3 pages stitched by March 1st...but I don't think I will be able to do that.
Stella found a good home with a coworker of mine. I haven't talked with her to see how things were going but I am sure she is happy. The boys were glad to have her go to her new home. She was a little to hyper for them!! LOL!!!
If you take a peek on the right....you will see an update on Tiger and Cherokee child. The picures up top are of my one at a time RR with my ILCS group. It is the 2006 Kats by Kelly series. I am stitching them all on one piece of fabric. The other is the prize I won when I entered a teacup design contest.
