Halloween Stitching Day 31

Is the month finally over???  I have to say that I have LOVED stitching a new project everyday but it has also made me a little stressed!!!   Thank you to everyone who has joined me on this little adventure.  I had my one trick or treater this year and now my left over candy is in the freezer.   One teacher at my school has been bringing her little to my house since he was born!   He is my only one!!  I live in a retirement community and in the country so...there you go.

I thought about a new start every day in December and I am still mulling it over because I have the entire Mill Hill Christmas Villages I would like to start and I already have the fabric cut.  I do not like perforated paper so I am stitching them on sparkly fabric.   I am thinking on it...so let me know what you think.

I told you Saturday night I went through my magazines...here is a portion of what I went through:

Halloween Stitching Day 31:    Halloween Night by Mill Hill  hand-dyed fabric by me:

to be honest...I have no idea what this is but it is the part above the cats head.

Halloween night...how appropriate!!!!!

I have 3 more Mill Hill Halloween kits I am going to start this week...just because they need to be started!

Halloween Stitching day 29 and 30.

I know!!  I didn't post yesterday but there is a reason!  My Saturday, I started grading my seniors year round projects around 11 am and I did not finish until I was finished which was at 3:30 pm!!  OMG!!  They were bad...we have math corrections...lots of corrections.   Then, I went to the Hobby Lobby, Joanns and Sams.  The best time to go to Sams is at 6:00 pm on a Saturday...NO LINES.

Came home and DH was watching football....so boring  So I decided to gather the magazines I had marked and started printing patterns..Lots of patterns!  It  was so much fun and a little overwhelming about how many things I want to stitch..can I please win the lottery????

Today..I spent another 4 hours grading my 9-11 math papers  I am so behind in my grading.  When I was really sick, I fell behind and just can't catch up.  It is awful.  I have parents emailing everyday asking when I am going to get my papers graded.  I can't say what I want to say instead I say "I hope by this weekend."

Stitching day 29:  Feather Tree - JCS Halloween Collection.  28 count monaco tea-dyed by me!

This is nothing like I normally stitch but it really caught my eye!

What it should look like...I think I did good dying my own fabric.

Day 30:  Haunted Library - Mill Hill 18 count aida - hand dyed using Rit Denim blue by me!

I love Mill Hill kits but I really hate sorting the threads.  I think they should have a column telling you how many skeins there are of each color.  That would make it easier!

 This is so cute!!!!

Halloween stitching Day 28

I am so thankful it is Friday! it has been a hectic week at work so I am glad for a couple of days rest.  I am writing this at 4:07 in the morning because..well..I feel asleep in my stitching chair. When I woke up I realized I forgot to post...so here you go:

Halloween Stitching Day 28:  Trick or Treat pals by Frosted Pumpking - JCS 2016 Halloween issue.  28 count monaco dyed by me.

Isn't this cute???   so my fabric is a little darker than the one pictured.   The frame is outlined in DMC 3740..I am thinking of changing it to a purple krenick to make it sparkle..

Halloween Stitching Day 27

It is hard to believe that I have been staring new projects for 27 days!  It is a little crazy to me! I started a new project today but not very many stitches.  I worked a little later than usual, came home and found my husband had started dinner.  We have been trying to cook at home instead of going out to eat.  So far, we have cooked for 3 nights easy meals because I am too tired at the end of the week.  This week it was Hamburger Helper, Tacos and Spaghetti.  I had a lot of ground beef in my freezer so it was a ground beef week.  Last night, I chose to have popcorn since he was playing cards

The reason for not much stitching tonight is because college football was on TV and DH wanted to watch it on the big TV. That isn't bad, the problem is all my stitching stuff is in the living room with the big TV.  I just didn't feel like moving my light, my computer stand and all my stitching stuff.  So I went to the bedroom and watched Project Runway while surfing Etsy and Ebay.

Halloween Stitching Day 27:  Witch Hat Trio JCS Halloween 2013.  Stitched on hand dyed 18 count aida..

see..not much just a few stitches of dmc 208

This is what it will look like when finished.

Just 4 more days of starts!!!  I thin the rest are Mill Hill kids....I could be wrong but I really think so.  We shall see tomorrow.

Halloween Stitching Day 26

I must be a bad wife or I have a very understanding husband!!  I looked at my husband yesterday when I wasn't feeling well and said "You are golfing tomorrow right?"  He laughed and said why, do you want me to out of the house?"  Where I replied..."Yes,  Go somewhere, I need the house to myself."   He did!!  I came home after a day of professional development, I was tired and cranky.  He kissed my forehead and went to the casino, stayed gone until 10:00 pm!!!  It was so nice!!

Disclaimer here:  my husband works from home and he is always home, from the moment I get up for work until I go to sleep again.  He usually has the TV sound up loud and it makes me cranky.  So I  just like a day when I can come home and be quiet....

Did I stitch alot today?  No...I actually sat and read for a while,  I played my Disney magic kingdom game on my ipad and looked all my new magazines.  I was doing all this  while watching floss tube!!  I love flosstube.  I have been watching all of Stitcherista's videos.   She cracks me up. She has such amazing stitching projects and stash!!  She is full of energy too!!!

Halloween Stitching Day 26- Fall Hydrangeas and White Pumpkins JCS Sept/Oct 2013.  28 count Monaco hand dyed by me with Rit Dye.

Love this design...here is what I was able to stitch and there really is a funny story here:

So when I tried to start this project, I none of the threads was in the box!  What the heck....I tried like 5 symbols...then I realized, I had the thread box for my HAED - A Wintery Heirloom which is a winter piece !!  UGH!!  Once I found the right pattern box for all the fancy pumpkins, I was able to start.   I felt so stupid.

Look at my treasures!!!  I will start showing my favorites soon!!!  So much fun!

Happy stitching all!!!

Halloween Stitching Day 25

Hi all!!!  I hope you had a wonderful day.  My 15 or so magazines arrived today!!!   I can't wait to go through them.  I will be posting more later...I am wiped out!  I actually came home and fell asleep on the couch.  I got about 15 stitches in my new project...not much but it is a start:

Day 25:  Eek from JCS 2012 Halloween issue stitched on 28 count hand dyed purple by me.

Not  a lot of stitches but I did get a start!!!!

I will start showing off my magazines and magazine choices in the next few issues.
