RIP Jag Kitty

You know from the title this is going to be a sad post because I am crying as I type it.   My Jag kitty passed away Monday morning.  He had been sick for a while with his heart.  He took a turn for the worse on Saturday and we knew that he didn't have much time left.  We decided that we would take him to the vet Monday morning to end his suffering.

Mark said his goodbyes to him.  We placed him in his crate, then in the passengers seat so he could see me and I could pet him.  While driving him to the vets office, I always had to keep my fingers in the crate to let him know I was there.  I have had to do that since he was a kitten.  Halfway to the vets office, Jag gave my fingers a final head butt and  then he  passed away silently in his crate.   I am so thankful he passed on his own.  Even though I was headed to the vets office to end suffering, I think that this would be harder.

I just thought I would share a few of my favorite pictures of him with you.  At the end you can read a funny Jag story....

Please take me Disney mom!!!!  I fit in the suitcase

Just thinking

These two loved to take over the dogs bed and make them sleep on the floor.

Loved to lay in my fabric!!!!

Checking out the Disney train box

How many more papers do you have to grade mom????

He was a skittish kitty...my housekeeper cleaned my house for 5 years when she asked me when did you get the yellow kitty?   I had to laugh because I said "Before the dogs...you have never seen him in 5 years????"  He was a good hider!!!

Aww I'm so sorry Vickie. He was beautiful. It's good he passed on his own because I agree that putting him down would have been harder. You have some great pics of him. My thoughts are with you. Take care.

So sorry to read of the loads of your beautiful kitty. I too agree that it was better that he passed on his own. Lots of hugs.

It is tough when we have to make that decision, but it seems he had made his own mind up and went on his terms, saying a goodbye to you first. It is so hard isn't it, losing a furbaby. He looks to me like he had an amazing life. Sending you lots of hugs

So sorry for the loss of your furbaby. They sure do hurt us when they leave but just think of the wonderful life he lived and how lucky he was to have such a great home.

I'm soo sorry for your loss. What a beautiful dear friend you have shared your life with. It must be much less stressful for them to pass away with you near away from the vet's office. I certainly hope that when it is time for my furbabies to go to heaven, they will fall asleep peacefully at home without any stress... Hugs!

I am so very sorry for you and your family. This has been a rough year for our "kids", but you've given a beautiful dedication and he will forever be remembered.

So sorry for your loss, Vickie. I know how hard it is, but he knew you loved him and were there for him always. That's why he was able to let go too. Hugs to you and your family!
