Small Finish Exchange project

Look at the cute little towel that Vicky L sent me for the Small Finish Exchange.

I was a good wife today. I actually made homemade brownies for my husband and took them to his office. They actually ate all of them today..so I guess I will have to make something else.

I went to Office Depot today and made working copies of my HAED project, Mystic Project, Harvest Sampler and Inspiration. Inspiration is a 30 page sampler chart from Rosewood Manor. I need to decide on what fabric I will be using but I can't wait to stitch it!!!

Off to watch murder she wrote and to stitch on my Cinderella Piece some more. I am working my projects in a 4 day rotation..then after I go through the rotation 2 times, I will add a project at the end after each full rotation. I have so many new charts I want to stitch. This is the only way to get things finished!!

Frog Award

Just wanted to show off the award I won at the retreat. It is my Frogging Award....since I was the one who did the most frogging!!!

Today was a good stitchign day...worked about 2 1/2 hours on the Blanket, and then worked on my new model for the entire movie of Sense and Sensibility. After that...started watching Murder she wrote while stitching on Cinderella by Mirabillia....but saw a Sonic Commerical and I decided to go get a rootbeer float!!

So the dogs and I went to Sonic...they got ice cream and I got my float. One of my students was working and he just laughed when he saw me feeding ice cream to the dogs!!

Off to finish watching murder she wrote while stitching on Cinderella!

Home from Retreat

OH My!!! I am so tired!!! I got home yesterday from my cross stitch retreat and I am exhausted! I don't think I slept for more than 4 hours a night!!! I really enjoyed meeting everyone from the ILCS group. We spent time stitching, chatting, eating and more stitching!!!!

I won a beautiful green frog because I did the most frogging at the retreat! I made several HUGE mistakes and spent a lot of time ripping things out. I did manage to finish another page on my Down Main street.

Karin taught classes on how to make a Biscorni (a tuffet really) and we learned how to make a pinkeep. I will post pictures later on of my these items.

We had over 50 different designers send us LOTS of donated charts for our retreat and I LOVE all my patterns.

Will talk more about the retreat this week...here is my tearoom update. I think it is looking very good!

weekly update

Wow! What a week!!! I have been very busy! On Monday, I did have to go to a workshop for 3 hours...then I came home and stitched. Tuesday night we had a cookout with our friends. We watched Shrek and ate burgers....great night!!!

Wednesday and Thursday, I worked in my yard, cross-stitched and watched TV!!!

On Friday, I took the day off for myself. I layed in bed until around noon..catching up on my recorded Charmed TV shows. Mark came home at noon and he decided to play golf afterwork....so Mom and I went off to Hobby Lobby, Corino's Resturant....and we just looked around.

Saturday, we hosted a cookout for the family. Then, as Mark watched the US Open, The girls went to the Mall and shopped. Almost bought a new purse but decided that I was going out of town next weekend so I stopped myself.

Today, I went to a friends pool and layed out. I thought I was using sunscreen with a high SPF...nope..grabbed the wrong bottle and wow!! I look like a Lobster!! My whole body is burned!!!! I spent the afternoon stitching and watching TV...

Here is the update on the Eeyore Baby Blanket and page 1 of 6 of Down Main Street!!!!!

Mickey Wedding Sampler

Ok...I really think getting out of school has been a great thing for me!!! I have so many finishes I just can't believe it! This is the wedding sampler I made for my friend Kirsten. It was pretty easy to stitch.

Yesterday I went to a school cookout without Mark. He decided to go to the Hooters Golf tournament being held at his golf club. Anyway, It was fun but HOT!! I left early and came home to take a nap. My face and shoulders were burnt.

Today I cleaned house, bought groceries and then stitched!! I stitched on my Down Main Street piece. That is the piece I am going to work on this week. I am trying to get back to my weekly rotation schedule. However, I do believe I am going to have to work about an hour a day on the Eeyore blanket. Since it is a stamped piece, I have been really putting it off....so I need to make myself work on it.

Another Finish!!

I finished Color Outside the Lines today. It was in my big box of projects that were put aside because of my models. I'm not sure what I am going to do with it yet...maybe put it in my classroom...who knows!!

Sonic had their rootbeer floats for FREE tonight!!! I loaded up Brigen around 10.30 pm and we went and got a float! The place was packed every little slot was full and people were laughing, mingling and drinking floats!

Today was my first official day of summer break. It was a busy one. I drove up to lowes and picked up 60 bags of rocks. I did finish my rock garden today. Tomorrow, if it doesn't rain, I will start working on the other side. I hope to finish them by next week....

Tonight I am working on my friends wedding Sampler.

Tiger eye Update

I have finished 4 pages of 16....You can tell it is a tiger's eye at least. What a day! I gave my Algebra B final today and then started moving into my new classroom! I have lots of packing to do and not alot of time to do it in!!! I would really like to be moved before next year.

Mark and I went to dinner at P.F. Chang's and then we walked up to the candy store to buy me some sour belts and Mark some M & M's. After that, we came home and I worked on my Color Outside the Lines piece. I do need to have that finished by the retreat because I promised to loan it to Debra. It will be done. I am starting to do my stitching in rotations now instead of working on models. I am not doing another model for a while....too much to do around the house this summer...plus I am on a HUGE deadline with two pieces that I really haven't even started yet...

Here is a picture of my cardinal also....

Retreat finishes

Today was a good stitch day! I did go to my LNS today and got my SS her final gift to be mailed this week...I truely think she will love it!!!

I finished my Biscorni piece and my name tag for the ILCS Retreat!! I can't wait!!! I think the pieces turned out cute. My Biscorni piece is stitched on 18 count aida with DMC 3706 on fabric that I dyed myself!

The Name tag is stitched with sampler threads and on 18 count aida that I dyed myself also!! I am pretty proud of my dyed fabrics. I think they look fabulous!! but that is my own personal opinion.

I bought the dogs a new toy today. It was rubber squirrel that I thought would be hard enough that they wouldn't eat it or chew it up...how wrong I was...They had the squirrel eaten in less than 20 minutes. There went $17.00 down to their tummy!!!! I think I am finished buying them toys...only bones for them now!!!!

off to bed...only 3 days left until summer vacation!!!

I found out what I will be teaching next year. It is business math...I thought Algebra 1 again but nope...business math. Plus, I have to change classrooms...I knew that was coming but I got a FABULOUS room!!! The best part is that it is right above mine!!!! Yea!!!

off to read some before I go to bed!!!
