Summer Break and Summer Ball

Summer Break has officially started!!!!   I spent my first day sleeping in, taking a nap, stitching, reading, and went  for a walk.  It was an AWESOME day!!!  I also spent some time searching for my Netflix DVD and the lawn service bill.  My house keeper came on Monday and cleaned the house so well I can't find some things!  I think I am going to have to destroy the house to find these things!

I worked on Summer Ball for the past four days.  I love how it is turning out.  I do have a floating face on this one...it looks a little scary to be honest.

I have to be honest, I am not enjoying this golf piece.  So I have decided that i am going to try and put in 100 stitches a day on this design.  I have 78 days of break and so this will put quite a dent in this design.
My other summer goals are:
1) To organize all my magazines and put them into a database
2) Finish organizing all my threads
3) finish at least 2 pieces this summer

I am not sure I will meet goal 3 but I am going to try!!!

Your stitching is looking beautiful. Good luck on your summer goals. I think I need to set some goals for myself. I'll have to think about that.

Good luck meeting your goals, Vickie. Do you have pieces picked out for finishing, or is it just any two pieces?

For the hell you endured this past year, this summer is well worth it! Cant wait to see your progress on all your stitching over the next few months.

ENJOY!!

love how they are both coming along. I have recently been watching Emma and reading a book inspired by Jane Austen books, so am loving the Summer ball.

Beautiful progress on your stitching. I think the 100 stitches a day goal is great - that way you can just get in your progress and move on to something you prefer stitching over it. Looking good! Enjoy your vacation!
