Cinderella and a FINISHED Scarecrow

I finally framed Cinderella. I ordered the frame and double mat from Hobby Lobby and did the framing by myself. I love how the two purples really make her dress pop!!I chose a small frame instead of a really big one. I thought the really big ones pulled attention away from the piece. This will be my fair entry this year.

I finished my 3 foot scarecrow!!! I am so excited to say that I actually finished a cross stitch piece this summer! One UFO down and MANY, MANY more to go!!! The next UFO I plan on working on is my cupcakes from an Ozark Sampler RR. Ballerina is coming out of hiding too...summer is over so time to work on the Tutu!

Cinderella came out wonderful. You did a great job framing her. I do agree with you about the matting and frame. Good luck at the fair. Congratulations on the scarecrow! He looks wonderful!

Cinderella came out beautiful Vickie. Very lovely design. I may have to stitch this for myself. It is one of my favorite Disney movies.

BTW, thanks for replying to my last comment. I appreciate the FYI on the Disney Halloween Party. I've heard the Magic Kingdom is really generous with the candy. I made the mistake of taking my son to Sea World for Halloween three years ago and they had nothing. They supposedly had candy for the kids but we couldn't find it. Everyone raves about Disney so I am excited to take my son this year.

Enjoy your week.

Oh, Vickie, Cinderella is stunning!!!! Absolutely gorgeous. I love the way the frame you chose glints in the light too. Very nice indeed. And your scarecrow looks great too. Not a stain in sight! Happy dancing for you in Ohio!

you are very brave to finish it yourself with the boarder! Good luck at the fair. Now that the scarecrow is finished so you stuff it?

I 2nd what Debra says!! I frame some things myself, but when it has a border I let the pros do it! I just can never get the sides straight enough for my taste! Looks great and nice job finishing the scarecrow.
