10 Book Challenge

10 Book Reading Challenge, Join us!

:
One of my favorite past times is reading and I thought it would be fun to do a book challenge. Sometimes we forget how much fun it is to sit down with a good book and read. I have found that I have fallen in love with downloading a book to my computer and listening to it while I stitch. I get to do two of my favorite things. There be a random drawing for a $10.00 Barnes and Noble GC for this challenge. The prize will be on the honor system. On to the 10 Book challenge:

Sign up by Sept. 15 by leaving a comment here and then posting the challenge to your blog and/or website. Then make a list of 10 books you want to read by the end of this year. You don't have to stick to your list since sometimes something more interesting comes along that strikes your fancy. You must read 10 books though....that is the challenge.

Please post a comment on my blog to let me know how you are doing! Please make sure you link to my blog your list. I can't wait to see what everyone chooses to read!!!!

My list:
1) NorthAnger Abbey by Jane Austen
2) Mr. Darcy's Diaries by Amanda Grange
3) Confessions of a Jane Austen Addict
4) Peppermint twisted by Sammi Carter
5) Just take my Heart by Mary Higgins Clark
6) Cinderella Pact by Sarah Strohmeyer
7) What would Jane Austen do? by Laurie Brown
8) Unsolicited by Julie Kaewert
9) Duchess by Night by Eloisa James
10) Murder at Astor Place by Victoira Thompson

Not sure about my other 5....I will have those down by the start of the challenge. My DH is sound asleep right now so I can't get to my bookshelf!

Looking forward to the challenge. I am half way through the Monica Ferris series and will have the remaining part of that series and then I'll need to check out the bookshelf as well. There are 3 books coming out this month that I want to read..... :) Will update my blog later today.

I want in; just don't know what any of my books will be yet. I'll make a run to the library this weekend and scope out some of the authors I've got on my "sounds interesting" list.

Count me in. I've read 90 books so far this year and usually read between 150 and 200. You can see my reading list at:

I'm half way through stitching to George R. R. Martin's A Feast of Crows (Book 4 of the Song of Fire And Ice) from audible.com, but I won't count that as part of my ten.

I would love to join this challenge. Reading is a passion of mine and I have not read anything in quite some time so this will give me a chance to get back into it.

What a lovely idea. I've posted my list on my blog, but I'm sure it will change. My head is easily turned by new, interesting books. :)

I would like to join in the 10 book challenge but do not have a blog or website. Can I still be included? Also, I would like a day or so to compile my list. There are so many to choose from.

I'm always reading and usually manage about a book a week. Would love to do more, but work gets in the way. I'm an avid listener, too. I got hooked when I was driving my kids to and fron practicies and waiting in parking lots. Sometimes I'd go get them early so I could listen and stitch in the car.

Oh, I am so pleased to have found your blog! Thanks, Anna (aka StitchBitch).

I am SOOO in on this- and wishing I'd found you sooner and known about the Everything Austen Challenge as well.

I'm putting up my post tonight but will have to add the book list later- too late and too tired to really think about it.

You have a TERRIFIC blog!

I'm joining in, as well! My 10 will be posted later today--on my way out the door right now.

Is it too late to join? I'm always up for a reading challenge! I will go ahead and post my 10 on my blog today, if it is okay. Thanks!

My blog is www.suequeblue.wordpress.com.

I will join as well! I've been reading like a maniac lately, much to the detriment of my stitching.

Right up my alley - I want to join the challenge!
I'll post on my blog in just a minute.

I am going to give this challenge a try. I love to read and don't do as much of it as I would like so this will give me the boost to get back to it. I have the beginnings of my list up tonight and will finish it tomorrow. I've also posted this on my blog.

I know I'm a day late but I was away on holiday and only got back today. Any chance I could have a holiday pass and sign up for this challenge?

I have two of my books completed!
