I got a Nook!!

I am so excited!!! I bought myself a Nook! This is the Barnes and Noble Electronic Reader. I actually looked at purchasing a kindle but decided on the Nook for one major reason. With the Nook..I can download ebooks from the public library. This is a wonderful feature. So far, I am loving it!!! I have downloaded several books and reading them is easy. I love the way that I can make the font bigger on the page, helps my poor pitiful eyes!
Do you want to know the best part about this new toy I have??? It was the price. If you purchase the Nook from BN it was $162.41. However, I had cashed in my reward points from Swagbucks, Mypoints and my credit card rewards...the grand total for me: $12.41 I couldn't believe it!!!! Marks jaw dropped because he sometimes shakes his head when I tell him I am clicking websites, or searching for points. It is totally worth it! I am excited to say that I am about 600 points away from having another $10.00 GC to BN from Swagbucks and I already have enough Mypoints to get a $25 GC for BN. I LOVE IT!!!! I am thinking of saving my rewards and cash in for Christmas presents this year!

As Seen on TV.....

Yep..did some more shopping. Believe it or not, it wasn't stash shopping either! My back has been bothering me so I went to the chiropractor. He told me it was because of my sitting my laptop on my lap and looking down at the screen. He recommend that I get something that is eye level to help my back/neck pain. I bought an As Seen On TV item, yes I did. I bought the Table Mate II at Bed, Bath and Beyond. Mark was kinda smiling when I brought it in the room. It was VERY easy to put together and required NO tools!!
As you can see it is shaped in the form of a C and my laptop sits easily on it. The legs slide under my recliner and it is at eye level. Talk about a HUGE relief in my neck!!! I am LOVING this table!! I also sit my stitching on it so it is all right in front of me...I no longer have to reach over to my side...everything is right here!!! I LOVE IT!!!

The winner is.....

Hilary from North Country Samplings with a guess of $65. The actual cost of all my goodies was:
$66.08. Congratulations Hillary!!! Send me your snail mail and I will put your prize in the mail!!!

Floss, floss, and destructive puppy!

A while ago I put up a post that my friend Becki gave me a HUGE bag of DMC floss and I thought I was in heaven. Well, my heaven has a price, I have to orgranize it!!! So this week I have been going through each DMC number and counting how many skeins I have of each color. Let me tell you as of right now, I have at least a minimum of 5 skeins per color and in a few colors I have over 20 skeins!!! What am I going to do with all this floss!!! I have organized colors from White to 600. I plan to start the 700-900 tomorrow.
Gibbs got bored this week and decided he wanted to eat his toybox. Mark and I usually have a cardboard box that holds the toys. Gibbs decided that the cardboard box look appetizing so he ate..well..as you can see he tore it to shreds then chewed on the pieces until they disolved in his mouth. It is good to know that he has a lot of fiber in his diet now!

WHO-HOOO Free Stuff!!

I decided this morning to cash in some of my online points sites. I cashed in my MYPOINTS rewards for a $50 Visa Gift Card!! I then popped over to my Swagbucks account and cashed in my points for a $10 GC to Barnes and Noble!! I love this!!! If you aren't a member of either..basically Mypoints sends you email links to click on and you earn 5 pts per click. Swagbucks, you just use the search engine to earn points. Instead of hitting Google...I use swagbucks and earn points.
You can click the button on the swagbucks widget to get started (and I get points for referrals). If you haven't joined my points...send me your email and I will send you a referral.
Yes I am shamelessly asking for referrals on my blog!!!! This will be the last time I do this...

June Reads

It is hard to believe that June is already over!! This means that I only have 6 more weeks of summer!!! I do love summer because I have more time to read. My book total is: 40. I now have 110 books to read. My June reads were:

1. The Debutante Divorcee by Plum Skyes- Fun read- a group of over-privilaged young ladies get married and then divorced within weeks of saying I DO except for Syliva, she loves her new husband Hunter. Hunter skips out on their honeymoon for work issues and she meets the Lauren, who LOVES being divorced. Fun Beach read and if you get it on Audio, the reader is exceptional!!!
2. Finger-Lickin 15 by Janet Evanovich: Love this series!!!! I found myself laughing so hard in this book that I was crying!! Lulu and Grandma decide to enter a cooking cost and it would be well and good, but they DON"T KNOW HOW TO GRILL!!!! Stephanie stays with Ranger for a few nights and he is just YUMMY!! I love these books on Audio, the reader does such a great job with the voices!!!
3. Lost Recipe for Happiness by Barb O'Neal- This was ok, not one of my favorites. I sometimes became lost in the story. She is offered the job of a lifetime, but this job brings back memories of a tragic accident of which she was the only one whose life was spared. She talks to ghosts and thinks they talk back. There is a romance in here too....just wasn't my type of book.
4. The Prince's Bride by Victoria Alexandar- Love time spent at a ball, riding in a carriage and wearing ball gowns!!
5. Smitten by Janet Evanovich: Single mom decides to work in construction and falls for the construction company owner. There happens to be a crazy aunt and a flasher!!
6. 16 Lighthouse Road by Debbie Macomber- This is the first Cedar Cover book in the series. The book focus on several different peoples lives and how they intertwine with each other. The first starts out with Olivia who is a judge and she makes a very unorthadox ruling on a divorce case. This leads her to meet Jack, a reporter, and he makes her life complicated.
7. 204 Rosewood Lane by Debbie Macomber- Book 2 of the Cedar Cove series. : This book focuses more on Grace and her life. It seems that Grace husband has just up and left after 30 plus years of marriage. No note, no call, NOTHING!!! There is an unexpected pregnancy with Grace's daughter. A marriage takes place between a couple that no one expected. Unfortuantley one couple divorces over volunteer work and jealousy. Who would have thought a couple would divorce over volunteer work!!!
8. 311 Pelican court by Debbie Macomber - Book 3: Someone becomes very ill in this book!! A dead body winds up at the local Inn and no one has ANY idea on who it is...no id, false name! Jack and Olivia are having a slight difference of opinion on Olivia's ex-husband. This series is wonderful!!!

I would love to hear how your book challenge is going!
