Stitching, Weight, Bert and a Question

Bert decided he needed a nap today while I was working in my sewing room.  Normally this would be surprising that he found a basket to sleep in however, this basket was on the third shelf of a bookshelf with six shelves. How he got up there, Mark and I do not know but he really loved this location.

Here is Summer Ball.  I have completed one page.  Only five pages left on this UFO.  I have decided to remove one of my UFO"s.  It is my afghan from Ozark Samplers.  I was going through all the patterns today trying to figure out which LK flip-it years I wanted to use to make if a full 24 square afghan.  It seems I am missing 3 months of patterns.  I emailed Mary and she said that the December patter is at the store for me to pick up.  She told me she would put the other two patterns on her to do list. She will get them to us for a class later this year. So I think it really can't be a UFO if I don't have all the patterns or threads to complete it right???

Here is a crazy Stitch thing that happened to me.  I went to post on my Mystic Stitch group today and Yahoo says the group doesn't exist!!!  How strange is that?  All I can assume is the group owner who hasn't been around in years has deleted the group.  I have no idea how else it has happened.  VERY, VERY strange!!!

Mark was watching golf the other day and I made him take a picture of me as a before picture.  I have been watching my diet and have lost a couple of pounds.  I have been working out at least 4 times a week using my Biggest Loser  Wii game.  The game says I am losing more weight than my actual scale does so I am thinking I need a new scale. That is on my to buy list when I get paid next week.

Just and FYI....It is getting to the end of the month so I am going to post several updates for all my reading challenges. One of my reading challenges does not think that Listening to an Audiobook is actually reading. I think it is...What do you think?

Love the Summer Ball. Well, on the reading. Let me ask you/them this...Would they tell a blind person that listening to an audio book wasn't reading? (In other words, I vote is IS reading!)LOL

If I have listened to a book (and actually really paid attention), then I writing down in my "Books Read" book. But, only if it is an unabridged version of the book.

And wonderful progress on Summer Ball. It looks fabulous!

I think that listening to an audiobook is reading! Sometimes it takes more concentration to listen to a story than it does to read it in print. Besides that, many of us originally got our love of reading from hearing bedtime stories.

Oh Your kittie like strange napping spots too. My Dana is the same way - we never know how she gets to those out of the way places. Stitching looks great - congrats. Audio books count!

Congrats on finishing a page on SB. I don't think listening to an audibook qualifies as reading, sorry. Good luck with the weightloss. I'm trying to do that, too.

Stitching looks great! I'm emptying OUT all my floss boxes from that purchase I made. Maybe they'll get a new home when I do. And, yes, listening to an audiobook most DEFINITELY qualifies as reading. I listen to unabridged versions in my car all the time. I do pay attention and can tell you everything that happens.

You are making wonderful progress. The stitching one page at a time is a good idea. I was inspired by you to pull mine out last night and work on it.

I think listening to the book counts, sometimes that is the only way you can read the book I just wish they wouldn't abridge them.

I swear, cats get into the strangest places! Great stitching!

Also, I think audiobooks count. Especially if you happen to be an individual who is busy and you want the experience of books but simply don't have the time to sit down and read one. I think popping one in the car is a good idea.

I love your piccy of Bert in his little hideaway. Yes Dear likes to be high too. She has a six foot tall cat scratcher. She never scratches on it, but she loves to sit on it and watch the world go by. Summer Ball looks great. Grats on finishing the page. You look pretty good, weightwise. I've got over a hundred pounds to lose, so you look great to me, lol. Good luck! As for audiobooks, I'm gonna have to disagree with the majority. It's only reading if you're reading. JMHO! Hope you're having a good night!!
