Augusta 13th hole and Historical Fashions

I finally pulled out my Augusta 13th hole from Mystic Stitch. I didn't get as much done it as I would have like but this section is nothing but confetti stitches. It was stop and go...stop and go. I don't like to work the patterns in the order I am supposed to. The pattern calls for me to work the pages in order but I like to work straight down in a column. Hopefully on the next rotation I will actually get to the golf course section and finally get out of those trees!!! Wonder if my husband ever feels that way when he plays golf..would rather be on the greens than the trees?

Can you believe I have spent 95.5 hours on Historical Fashions and I am only on couple 3- the Spanish Heerschappy 1550-1600..which is the spanish influence. The ladies outfit looks very uncomfortable and itchy. Hopefully I will have her stitched up by the end of March. I am hoping that by the cross stitch retreat in June I will have finished 6 of my couples....My goal is to be finished with this design by December.

Victorian Village and HAED-Wintery Heirloom

I started a new project this week. I started my Victorian Village design from The Cross Stitcher (USA) magazine. It is supposed to an afghan stitched completely with DMC Flower threads. However, I am stitching it on one piece of 18 count aida fabric fabric that I dyed. The threads I am using is regular DMC. The first building is the Flower Shop. I am putting it in my rotation so I only work on it for 4 days then move to something else. I love the colors of this first building.

On Saturday, I worked on my HAED - Wintery Heirloom. I have completed 2 1/2 rows of stitching on this design. I worked on this while Mark and I were watching some saved NCIS episodes on our DVR. We have just started watching the reruns of this series and we really like it!!!!!

I also pulled out my Mystic Stitch Augusta pattern. This one I am not enjoying working on...there are too many confetti stitches on this section and I don't feel like I am making much progress on this rotation.

Fabulous Husband!

My husband is just wonderful!! On Valentines day, when I got up I found these beautiful roses waiting on me! He has promised me a massage from the spa of my choice whenever I decide to go. My birthday was yesterday and he bought me a bracelet that I have been drooling over for years. I saw this Disney charm bracelet and been wanting it for a couple of years. I emailed the link to Mark and he got it for me! It has 37 disney character charms on it. Then, he put together a surprise dinner party with our friends. We went to Copelands for dinner...it was alot of fun!

Faery Tales by HAED

I finally pulled out my Faery Tales project from HAED. I haven't picked this up in months, September to be exact. It was pretty boring to stitch on because it is all dark blues and blacks. I have finished about 2% of this design. I am almost finished with part one!

HAED Update - A Wintery Heirloom

Finally it is Friday!!! I try and work on my HAED -A Wintory Heirloom each week for 3 hours. I usually work on it on Fridays. I have put in about 1700 stitches and stitched on it for 13 hours. It doesn't look like much progress but it is slowly coming along. It is not that easy working with all those shades of blue!!! It can make your eyes cross!!

Tonight was the Nashville Preview at the Busy Needle. I had so much fun shopping at all the new charts!! I found several that I really wanted but I only bought 5 new charts. I bought the new Brittercup monthly kitty designs and two of the newest LK Boo Club charts. I did however, put 2 new charts in layaway. Sara is wonderful about letting us put charts back until we can get them. Tomorrow is my Mardi Gras class with Mary from Ozark Sampler. I can't wait!! She said this one will have feathers .....so this should be interesting!!

Cherokee Child

I worked on Cherokee child for the past four days and made a little progress on her. I decided to go back to my 4 day rotation while taking one day to work on A wintery heirloom from HAED and my daily work on Historical Fashions. I have so many projects started -17 of them...that I am hoping with my rotation I can finally make a dent in them!!!!! I would like to finish at least 13 BAPs this year. I have finished 2 already so I have 11 to go. We will see how things go!!!

Cherokee Child Update

I finally pulled my Mystic Stitch - Cherokee Child out of the bottom of my stitching pile. I haven't worked on her for a while. I actually had forgotten how sweet and innocent she looks. I finished page 4 of this design. Only 5 more pages to go until she is finished!!!! I have changed my car project. I am working on my Mirabillia Cinderella's border now. Every morning I am stuck in traffic moving only a few inches at a time...so I stitch on somthing while I am sitting. I can get in about 50 stitches a morning...so this is the perfect time to work on a border ...something you really don't have to think about while stitching.

Blog Award

My friend Frishawn gave me this friendship blog award and I am to give it 8 different people. I hate to choose only 5 of my friends but those are the rules. So I am giving them to:

Kim- my stitching friend who I stitch and chat with every night via yahoo messenger

Shari- she just makes me smile

Viv- Who shares my LOVE of Disney!!!

Katie- Because she turned me onto HAED projects

Marta- for being such a sweet postive person

Stitching update- several projects

I have been busy this weekend. I was so close to finishing several things I decided to work on just them. I posted my finish for my scarecrow which turned out really cute.
Earlier this week, I worked on my BRD-My Sewing Sampler SAL design. It really is stitching up rather easy. I worked on it for 4 days and now it is back in the bottom of my project box. That is until it's next rotation.

On Friday I worked on my HAED project. I am trying to work 3 hours a week on it and I usually pick Friday night to stitch on it. I have put in a total of 1300 stitches, it sounds like alot..but as you know with a HAED project...that isn't much.

On Saturday night I finished the 2nd part of my Mystery SAL from Ozark Samplers. I don't know about you...but it looks like I am stitching a postage stamp. That is all I can come up with right now. I am sure though that Debbie has designed something beautiful!

Today, I worked on my Historical Fashions. I was so close to finishing the second couple that I worked on it all afternoon just to finish this section. It turned out beautiful. I love working on this design.

Fiber Fun Finish

I finished one of my fiber fun challenge pieces from our monthly classes with Mary from Ozark Samplers. This one is a freebie pattern offered from Mosey 'n Me. Mary holds a class each month and we get to play with all sorts of fibers. She has an idea of what we are to use but what happens is we get there.we OOHHH and AHHH over all the fibers then we decide we don't like what we have and we substitute colors and fibers. Then we wind up with a really cool project!!!

This is a very special piece because I also learned how to do a french knot on this design. Now, I just have 2 more fiber projects to work on that is until Saturday when I get my next one!!! Mary designed these fabulous Fall pumpkins design and a Winter snow design. I have those to work on next.

My Sewing Sampler - Blue Ribbon Designs

My Stitch it Quick group is doing a Gameboard SAL this year. I chose to stitch Blue Ribbon Designs "My Sewing Sampler". This is just the neatest design and you get to personalize it to fit your stitching personality. I started it last night and it is stitching up rather quickly. I am loving the colors and how it looks.

Happiest Celebration On Earth

I finally finished my Disney design!!! I put the last bead in at 7:00 pm. I started beading at 3:30 pm. It felt like it took forever. This kit was a birthday present from my husband last year. This year I actually get to go to Disney World. My mom and I are planning a week long vacation to Walt Disney World this July. I asked my husband if he wanted to go on vacation with us....nope...he has no desire to be around the heat and the crowds. So it will be just my mom and I.

Today in the mail I recieved my Round Robin design from Teresa. She was the last person to stitch on my design. I chose to stitch the Mothers Wisdom from Heart in Hand. They are cute little designs that really do not take very long to stitch. Everyone who stitched on it did a fabulous job. I just need to stitch 2 more designs in the upper corners to make the design complete.
