Halloween Stitching Day 3

Today was filled with mixed emotions.  First of all, I stepped on the scale and realized that after all this time of being ill and not being able to exercise, I gained all my weight back. Sigh....On the other hand,  I was able to walk around the track at the gym for 20 minutes without breaking into a coughing fit!!! Yay me!!!!!!    However, the workout clothes I took to walk in were too small and I looked like a stuffed sausage...I was praying my pants wouldn't split as we walked!!!! Very scary thought!!!!

Day 3 Stitching:  Roses and Hydrangeas - Just Cross Stitch October 2015.   I really didn't like the fabric they chose because the pumpkins blended into the background...so.....

I decided to dye my own fabric for a this design.  I used Rit Cocoa Brown and Golden Yellow.  I dipped it in the yellow and then let it soak in the Cocoa for about 30 minutes.   I love how it just pops on this fabric!!!

Tomorrow is Parent Teacher conferences.  Which means I will leave my house at 7:15 am and not get home until 8:00 pm.  I will start a new project however, I might not post until Wednesday and do two days.  We shall see just how tired I am!

New stash for me!!!  I have got to put a stop on my stash shopping.  It is getting quite out of hand.  I will show you my new stash this month as it comes in...you will be shocked.

As you know I love Jane Austen and I have been eyeing this kit for a long while so  I broke down and bought it for myself!!  It is a Bothy Threads kit that has the characters from her books.  Each person has the name of the character beside them so you know who you are stitching.  I am changing the fabric to a very pale pink....I did a floss toss and the threads look great!!!!

Vickie lovely stitching there and me being a Jane Austen fan too will have to go see. I got a chart the other day that I am going to do for a friend it is by Brooke's Books called The Darcys , The Happy Couple if you want a look. I do not know if you do little but it looks a nice chart if you do. Have a look at my blog if you are into Halloween.
